Gemini and Vivienne Tam Partner to Inspire Crypto Awareness Through Fashion at NYFW 2022

(Originally published Sept. 16, 2022) — This week, internationally-acclaimed fashion designer Vivienne Tam debuted a dress printed with NFTs from Gemini-owned Nifty Gateway’s Awkward Astronaut collection during her New York Fashion Week (NYFW) 2022 show. The show, featuring collaborations with multiple NFT collections, was designed to inspire women and girls to explore the world of crypto.

The partnership between Nifty Gateway and Vivienne Tam is one of several recent initiatives from Gemini designed to usher in the next billion crypto users through NFTs. These include the launch of Nifty Gateway Publishers and the news that Nifty Gateway will be powering Starbucks Odyssey, a Web3 and NFT-based evolution of the Starbucks loyalty program.

By showcasing the Awkward Astronaut NFT collection through fashion, Vivienne Tam will be exposing the more than 200,000 people who travel from all over the world to attend NYFW to the promise and creative potential of crypto and blockchain technology.
